On our last day in Koh Samui we treated ourselves to some extended time in bed after our late night. As soon as we got up we showered and head out towards the beach and in particular Ark Bar where we polished off some lunch, unfortunately I had to give the fancy local cuisines a miss due to medical reasons, I was upset because I liked to try new things, instead I chose Thai egg and Thai mayonnaise baguette whereas the 2 Englishman sat opposite me ordered what effectively was a fry up in a baguette. It was during our time here that we discussed Watford's cup final coming up this Saturday, Max and Jon obviously teamed up against me but that's understandable as they both are clueless when it comes to football, when I said Watford's biggest attendance this season will be against Leeds Jon even made the scandalous claim that Watford v QPR will be a bigger game at Vicarage Road before I gently reminded him that QPR have been in the premiership for nearly half a season.
Max said Leeds aren't a big team anymore before changing his argument to "Leeds aren't famous anymore" so I informed him that I agree, in fact the Leeds fans sing "we're not famous anymore" and yet every time they play away the opposition has their biggest attendance, obviously not a big team but people turn out in their numbers when Leeds are in town. Needless to say i won the argument as the other 2 didn't have any idea. After this we made the short trip onto the beach and sat there for about 5 minutes during which local sellers harassed but we were not parting with any money, we spotted one of the sellers wearing a tattered old Chelsea kit, Jon automatically felt a connection with the man and was left humiliated when the local knew Chelsea were playing there crunch game with Valencia that evening whereas Jon didn't even know it was on this week. It also turned out the man had been to more games that Jon and even beat Jon by 17 points in a Chelsea general knowledge quiz I had prepared which was also written in English. The sellers game out with such cheesy lines as "ice cream you scream" and "no woman no cry no condom you die".

A favourite quote of any local round here seems to be "a giant moquito" in reference to Jon's lovebite, as none of us can quite understand Thai humour we are all unsure wether there genuinely is a giant mosquito or it's just a playful dig at Jon's seedy ways. Another point of mention for here and Bangkok is the suit makers or "tailors" as they prefer to be called, they are generally all Indian and seem as though they have learned there English by watching Only Fools and Horses, they call everyone mate and try and shake your hand and just generally annoy people. Back at the hotel we played our favourite Asian music channel and had team rest I even had some sleep and was awoken to a random lady in the room, apparently she had knocked on the door and Max answered it and she walked in, took her shoes off and starts talking to us, annoyingly she started talking to me just as Howie Day - Collide came on the Tv, I closed my eyes and sang to myself, who she was or what she wanted was a mystery she was very inquisitive though and in the end Max said we were about to get ready so she left.
We all pondered her motive for coming in the room and decided the only logical explanation was that hedge was eyeing up the room and where any valuables were so she could return when we left the room, she didn't, as when we returned that evening nothing had gone missing. We went out to our favourite bar, Bondi Bar and had some dinner, once again under doctors orders I settled for an obvious cheese and tomato pizza whereas the others broke tradition and had burger and chips covered in tomato sauce. We chilled out here had some drinks and abused the wifi before deciding enough was enough and we walked back to our hotel.
We had a quick watch of the music channel before settling into bed, I wasn't tired so I got the conversation flowing by asking Jon if he would rather be himself or Sean Kingston, he replied himself, when probed why it turns out because he's famous Jon doesn't want to be him, he doesn't want to recognised but what's money, I stated that most rich people would be recognised by someone but Jon disagreed, he found it hard to understand that just because he didn't recognise someone it didn't mean nobody else will, so the conversation fizzled out because of this. I tried a fresh topic of how Chelsea bought the league and he told me history at a club meant nothing so I said if Manchester United and Manchester City both offered a player the same deal a player would choose united because they have history which makes them one of the greatest teams in the world and again he disagreed, he even told me Leeds won't be in the premiership in 3 years so I offered him a bet which he refused, probably due to lack of confidence in his own opinion. This spelt the end of the conversation as I don't think he could keep up with my lightning quick mind. So he fell asleep and I sat there with a grin from ear to ear.
